It is difficult to determine the correct ring size. In fact, there are several ways to find out your ring size. Want to know how to do this?
We help you find the perfect fit. In this blog we distinguish between measuring your ring size with a ring and measuring your ring size without a ring. This is done in different ways.
You need a few things when measuring your ring size at home. You need a measuring tape or ruler.
Below you will find a ring size chart. Keep this handy when you do the following:
We start by measuring your ring size with a ring:
You need a ring that fits your finger and a measuring tape. It is very easy to measure the ring size by diameter.
Follow the next steps:
- Place the ring on the table and take the measuring tape.
- Measure how many millimeters the diameter of your ring is. So the inside of the ring, without the edges.
-
Read from the table what your ring size is.
Here's how to measure ring size WITHOUT a ring
If you don't have a (suitable) ring at home, you can also measure your ring size in another way.
Measure the diameter or circumference of your finger. Both are done with a tape measure.
Measure the diameter of your finger like this:
- Place your hand on the table and take the measuring tape.
- Put the measuring tape around the finger where you want your ring and measure the diameter.
- You now know how many millimeters the diameter of your finger is and can read your ring size in the table.
Finally, you can find out your ring size by measuring the circumference of your finger. Again, you do this with a tape measure:
- Wrap the measuring tape around the finger where you want the ring.
- Read off the number of millimeters where the tape comes back together.
- Check the table to see which ring size fits your finger circumference.
No tape measure at home? You can also go through these steps with a piece of string. With a pen, mark a line where the twine meets. Then measure this with a ruler and read your size in the table. Remember that the string or thread you use cannot be elastic.
This way you can still find the right ring size.
Hopefully you now know exactly what your ring size is! We wish you a good shopping experience!
